Traditional Butter Chicken Recipe





Chicken.................................................1 kg

Yogurt....................................................1 cup

Lemon ...................................................2

Green chilies.......................................6

Oil................................................................1/2 cup

Crushed black pepper..............................1 tb sp

Ginger paste.......................................1 tb sp

Butter....................................................2 tb sp

Salt.......................................................to taste

Method

First cut chicken into 12 pieces put it in a pot then add salt, 1 tb sp ginger paste,1/2 cup oil in it and put it on stove without adding water.

When water gets dry add 6 green chilies, 2 lemon pieces and put it covered on low heat to cook for 5 minutes.

Then add 2 tb sp butter in it covered tightly and put on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes.

Serve with plain boiled rice or paratha.
